From all accounts and from viewing all the pictures it is official. The San Diego reunion that was held July 17-20, 2003 was a huge success. Many thanks go out to June Shishido and all her committee members that made the reunion a success. If you have access to a computer you can view some of the pictures at June's website located at www.jshishido.com There were approximately 130 alumni and guests in attendance. The event hosted a bon odori night, a "free" night with a jam session with alumni playing their many different instruments and Saturday night was the main banquet night. There was also a
Sayonara breakfast for those that could attend on Sunday morning. One of the surprise attractions at the Saturday night event was an appearance by Mark Hamill (Class of '69). Many might know him as Luke Skywalker of the Star Wars movies. He was able to hang out with everyone for about 3 hours. Again many thanks go out to June and her crew for a job well done. There seems to be some renewed interest in the Alumni Association. We would love nothing better to see the association grow. With Bill & I trying to do most of the work ourselves the organization unfortunately fell by the wayside as other life situations
took priority. We would like to get started again and ask for any and all suggestions or comments. We would like to have a newsletter at least bi-monthly and as we grow offer some other benefits. Updates will be forthcoming as we get organized
